i know, everyone thinks their pet is the best...... but no cat can top my skel. he plays both CATCH and FETCH. i throw a toy and he LEAPS into the air to catch it, then runs it right back over for me to throw again. in the 12 years i've had pierce-cat, his fat ass has never *once* been airborn over a toy. even as a kitten. lil skel & i could surely go to the park with a frisbee and give any german shepard there a run for his money.

right now, as i type, he is trotting around the living room with one of the little plastic O rings from the top of a milk gallon. he jumps up on my chair, drops it next to me, and i throw it..... skidding across the hardwood floors like an ice rink, and he runs it back over to do it again. he is just SO FRIKKIN CUTE!!!!! he'll sleep with the side of his face pressed against mine. i guess it's kind of gross, really, that i wake up in the middle of the night with like *wet cat gums* pressed against my lips. but he's so damn cute; how could you mind?!? i just roll over, then he jumps over my head to do it again from the other side. he is literally the only thing that brings light into my life right now. and maybe that's why he was meowing his little head off in my backyard in october. maybe that's the explanation for the "crazy cat ladies". maybe they just need something to love and care for. or maybe (like me) they just like their cats a whole lot more than they like most people.

skel will also decide he wants to play at like 5 or 6 am..... so he will jump up in my bed with a toy, usually his black & white stripey marabou kitty toy, or one of my ponytail elastics that he steals from the bathroom. well the other night, i wake up to a pair of FUZZY DICE laying next to my head. he got up into the loft where i store the merch for my online store. he rooted through a box, found a stash of fuzzy dice, and carried a pair downstairs. and now they are his absolute most favorite toy. so he's a kustom kitty. a rat rodder at heart. i *knew* i should have named him FINK. now i'm expecting him to show up tonight with a pair of blue-dot tail lights, a set of lake pipes, and some chrome moon/spinner caps. he'll roll around with those stupid fuzzy dice for hours. look! it's a plush toy! no it's 2 plush toys! and they're connected by...... yarn! it's quite possibly the best cat toy ever. who knew. i love him so much.
