alright alright i know i haven't been around to update much lately. having a boytoy really eats up most of your spare time i tell ya.....

ok. so the biggest news as of late is that i heard TWO yes count them TWO new bits of news about my ex in the past week. which is just fucking WEIRD considering the entire past year noone has mentioned a single peep about him. of course in my head he was dating this girl who is in his band and noone on earth was living as *fantastic* a life as he has been living in my head.......... well i guess that was just not true. i heard last week that he has enrolled in the art institute, which is just fucking *weird* for a 34 year old. no? am i wrong?? i have told 3 people that and the looks on their faces were priceless. the one said "oh, he really is scraping the bottom of the barrel". the kid who told me he is going there is 20 years old and in his 2nd year at the art institute. which is fine. i went there myself. (11 years ago...) so i go, uh, yeah, he's THIRY FOUR YEARS OLD. and this kid goes, well, we have older...... i just laughed out loud. hmmmm. like that's not saying much, ya know?!?!??!!

so then yesterday a friend comes in and tells me he does have a girlfriend, but it's not the girl who i had assumed he was dating. spike was in town playing warped tour, so a couple of my friends go out to see him. of course i'm in my store that afternoon and alex stops in for sunglasses on his way out there and asks if i want to close up & go....... but i *know* that jim will be there, and whatever, so i just decline. so i guess they all go out for dinner afterwards. it's spike & his wife, alex & holly, todd & dawn, and jim and his new girlfriend. meanwhile i'm thinking of warped tour 2 summers ago when jim & i were together and we all were out there, and went out drinking afterwards, and had a really good time. it's just weird to have been... replaced. so the way the story was relayed to me was that she is the most obnoxious person you could ever have to be around. she's 28, newly divorced, loud, and crass. they go to this really, really nice italian restaurant...... think $20. entrees and bottles of good wine. well apparantly this girl was pounding her open-faced hands on the table yelling "more wine over here!!" and flipping off the waiters and busboys as they walked past. i think everyone was probably shocked and embarrassed, and i guess jim didn't say a word. hmmmmm. THIS piece of TRASH is who he would rather be with than me. the ironic part is that 2 of the 8 people sitting at their table work/have worked in restaurants, both casual and fine dining, and i can only imagine what they would think of someone behaving like that where they work. i am totally embarrassed for her. AND HIM. i told my best friend this story last night and she goes "who the fuck does she think they are, sid & nancy???" ridiculous.

so. what else. i am am bartending again, both nights this weekend..... on top of the 6 days i do in here. i am going to be dead on my fucking feet by sunday. but the $$$ will be worth it, i am sooooooooo goddamnned broke. plus we have killer shows both nights; tonight is THE CHEATS cd release and tomorrow we have 3 punk-rockabilly bands.
